Giving Love and Compassion Is Healing

Spread the love

When we are depressed and sad, we need someone to pick us up.

With mental illness we all need support, we need others to encourage us to stay strong, to guide us to a more positive path in life.

To tell us everything will be fine some day.To make us feel loved. To make us feel important. To make us smile. To wipe our tears and to cry with us. But sometimes we must give the same to others. Support others when they need it even if we need it the most

Give love even if we are dry of love. Give a smile and make someone smile even if we are crying inside. Make someone feel special even if we have never been there.

You will be amazed at how these actions alone can reflect back to you. You will feel a million times better than if someone did these to you. You will feel loved, satisfied, joyful and enlightened. Your own sorrows at that moment will flushed away.

Your heart will feel nourished the emptiness filled with sweet joy.

It’s important for us to always imagine there are many more other lives suffering worse than us

Comparing ourselves to those more unfortunate than us gives us a sense of gratefulness, a sense of well being, a sense of richness and joy.

It’s through recognizing others downfall that will enable us to see the good things in our lives even if we are suffering mental illness. It’s through others pain that will make us forget our own pain. It’s recognizing others weaknesses that will allow us to feel our strength.Through others suffering we appreciate the smallest of good things we possessed making us feel great and revived.

In order for us to heal and to thrive, we must sometimes allow ourselves to see the pain of others. We must try to be part of society no matter what.

when we pull ourselves out of society we made ourselves prisoners of our own lack of understanding of who we are.

Each and everyone of us, have so much strength buried deep within ourselves. It’s important for us to dig deep to find that strength to fight back the stigma. The more we suppressed our strength, the more we hide away, the more we stay silent the worse the stigma gets, the worse the pain grows.

When others let us down, we must keep standing tall, we must not let the evil win and destroy us.We must allow ourselves to fly against the wind like the birds. We want to heal, thrive and live a peaceful life like everyone else.

We are part of society, depressed or not, we must do our part in return it will give us the strength to go on.

As we need our own pain and struggles to be seen and recognized we must also try to give the same to others.

However, it’s extremely important and vital to our journey with depression to recognize your own struggles first. To work on yourself first. It’s important you are comfortable with any step you want to take out of your comfort zone first.

The best we could do to ourselves while struggling with depression or other illnesses is to get the boomerang effect of giving, helping and compassion for others.
